Who is Dr. Linda Davis

Who is Dr. Linda Davis? Have you heard of her? I hadn't until today. I ran across her name on Threads. I thought the post was about someone else. I put the phone down for a minute and when I picked the phone back up, Threads had refreshed and the post was gone. By the time I went to research her I had forgotten her first name. Sorry, Dr. Davis, I have a bit of a problem with my short term memory.

I googled Dr. Judith and Dr. Kathy Davis to no avail. Then I added ICE to the search parameters and Google finally rewarded me with the correct first name.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I was unable to get much information on Dr. Linda Davis, but I will tell you what I can. She was a special education teacher at Herman W. Hesse K-8 School in Savannah, GA. She was killed Monday in a car accident as a result of a high speed pursuit involving an undocumented immigrant and ICE agents. The immigrant had orders to leave since 2024. His car was the car to hit Dr. Davis. Dr. Davis was on her way to work at school and was killed within a half mile of the school. Luckily, it was President's Day and no children were on their way to school. ICE had set up checkpoints without communicating with local law enforcement. Local law enforcement has protocols against high speed pursuits due to the risk put to innocent bystanders. Local law enforcement has said that if they were informed, they would have encouraged and helped other forms of capture and not a high speed pursuit.

OK, so let's break this down. A special ed. teacher is on her way to work and is killed as a direct result of a high speed pursuit by ICE agents. The high speed pursuit goes through a school zone without communication with local law enforcement and against all normal police protocols in suburban areas. I'm sure the left has had a lot to say about it. Right? Nope, crickets.

Let's look at it from the right. We know they can spin anything to fit their narrative. The guy fleeing was from Guatemala. He was not here legally and there was an order for him to leave from 2024. He had no previous criminal history. He fled the ICE agents, drove high speeds, lost control of his car, and killed Dr. Linda Davis. Here is yet another example of an "illegal alien killing an innocent American citizen" from the right. Nope, crickets.

What the actual fuck? Why did I have to dig to find anything out about Dr. Linda Davis? Why are there some people who are first hearing about her right now?

Oh, yeah, there's one thing about her I forgot to tell you. She's black. And that's why you haven't heard about her.

I wish I could tell you more about her. A family is in mourning and a community is reeling. I have heard that she made every student feel included and accepted. I've seen a handful of pictures, in every single one she is smiling. A big beautiful radiant smile. I can hear the loud infectious laughter behind that smile. You can see her intelligence doesn't stop at book smarts, but there is wisdom in those warm brown welcoming brown eyes. Dr. Linda Davis looks like she had the type of personality that lit up a room as soon as she entered. I can only imagine the void her passing has left in her family's life.

I am so sorry for the loss her family and friends are feeling right now. My heart goes out to you. I hope that you may find comfort in the many happy memories your shared with your beloved, Linda.
