I am sorry that I haven taken so long to write these words, but

WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING IN KANSAS???

Seriously, I should have talked about this the day it happened. I am upset with myself for not speaking about it right away. I will not use the war in Iran distraction as an excuse for two reasons. First, it's not the reason. Second, I don't know how to explain it. I think I'm numb to "war in the Middle East". I hate to say it, but I have grown up with war in the Middle East. If you all remember, Former President Biden removed the troops from Afghanistan during his term. He got quite a bit of flack for the way he did it. In my humble opinion, there was no right way to do it. He simply finished what Trump started; he ripped the Band-Aid off.

Was it perfect? No.

Did he do what nobody else was able/willing to do before him? Yes.

Could someone have done it better? Yeah, probably.

Guess what, Now we're back to square one. We're back in the Middle East fighting a war we can't win. There won't be a "regime change". We've simply killed one leader and left a vacuum. We will leave behind chaos. Who is left in charge? What does history tell us? Yeah. Listen, I'm not trying to say Biden was some sort of great President or anything. The point is that it feels like my entire life, regarding the Middle East, we've always either been "at war," on the brink of war, or debating on whether or not to get involved in someone else's war.

Yeah, so add that to movies from my 80's childhood like The Day After and the first two Terminator movies and welcome to the landscape of my nightmares.

No, the reason why I haven't talked about what is happening in Kansas is because it is so horribly disgusting what is happening to our fellow United States Citizens, no fuck that, to our fellow human beings, to our fucking family. It's horrible. The words escape me still. It took me days to process my emotions about this.

It is still hard to think about. I just read an article about what was going in Kansas to make sure I had my facts in order. Here I am trying to pull myself together again and put into words just how fucked up this shit is and just how much worse it is going to get. You see, my dear Radical Readers, what we are seeing in Kansas is a mere glimpse of what is to come.

So, what is going on in Kansas? Kansas has enacted a new law, SB 244. The law was vetoed by Kansas Governor Laura Kelly, but her veto was overridden by republican votes. This law invalidated any documents that did not reflect a person's assigned sex at birth. Also, when using public restrooms, you have to use the restroom of the gender you were assigned at birth, not what you identify as (or what your identification would prove if it could be correct).

AND ANOTHER THING

There was no grace period given. Not ten days. Not three to five business days.

NONE.

Can you imagine waking up one day to, "Hey, you transitioned? You changed your license? And your birth certificate? Oh, well they are both invalid. You can't drive until you get this straightened out."

Drive to work? Sucks for you.

It gets worse.

Public restrooms. You have to use the restroom that corresponds to the gender that you were assigned at birth. This is what upsets me so much. I think of how this puts the entire Trans Community at risk.

A (TRANS) WOMAN WILL NOT BE SAFE USING A MEN'S RESTROOM!!!

How hard is that to understand? I mean for fuck's sake? Men don't care if a woman used to be a man. A pussy is a pussy is hole is a hole. Any one that has ever been sexually assaulted by a man can tell you that I am speaking the fucking truth. Now, your in a public restroom. What like at a St. Patrick's Day Celebration where the towns partying? You are an attractive (trans) woman and you can't hold it any longer, so you use the public restrooms. You use the men's room and in there are 3 young white men in their mid-twenties and they've been drinking, because it's St. Patrick's Day. You're fucked, literally and figuratively. And it's going to be worse since you used to be a male. I'm sorry, but if you disagree, you are just in denial. This is a hill I will die on.

If you are a woman that has never been sexually assaulted, you are a very lucky woman. If you are one of the women that are complaining about being leered at or being scared of being raped by a (trans) woman using the bathroom, you can FUCK ALL THE OFF TO FUCK MOUNTAIN. And now that I think about it, once you get there, jump the fuck off the edge. Seriously. I have been sexually assaulted by three different people in my life, three of them by the time I was 14. I am not scared of a (trans) woman or man, for that matter sharing the bathroom with me. I know what sexual predators look like. The FBI profiles are pretty spot on.

That's right, ladies and gentlemen. Did you not think about this? Men who were assigned as women at birth and have transitioned to men will now be required to use the women's restroom. What do you think about that MAGAt ladies? Honestly, how could any (trans) man safely go into a women's restroom without being called out for a sexual predator? You'd have to make an announcement before you went in. How is that fair. You still take the chance of being beat up by ignorant dumb MAGAts and there are so goddamn many of those, especially in Kansas, apparently. Beaten up, that's if they are lucky.
