They were a luxury item and then the must have item. You can buy them cheap or top of the line. Go to your local thrift shop and get one there. Then:

You don't have to use it all the time, but once you get in the habit, it sure is nice. We've been snowed/iced in a couple of times this year and the bread machine has been put to good use. Having flour and a jar of yeast on hand is much easier and cheaper, especially prior to a storm. Why spend full price when you can spend a fraction of the price at a thrift shop? Especially if this turns into one of those kitchen gadgets that collects dust in your cabinet.

I Don't Trust People That Don't Like Cats And/Or Dogs

To be honest, I don't trust anyone that doesn't like cats and dogs. I get it that some people are "cat people" and some people are "dog people," but if my cats can't turn a dog person into a cat lover, there's something wrong with you. I had a dog, named, Rose, that was the same for cat people.

But, seriously, if you don't like cats or dogs, there is something fundamentally wrong with you on a level that you and I will never connect on any sort of personal or spiritual level. You don't have to have a pet, but I will never put my animals in a different room for your preference, only for theirs.

Why is this brilliant?

If you're asking this, you must not have a pet, because this post is not limited to cats and dogs. When you have bonded with an animal, there is nothing like the feeling of unconditional love that you get from pets. One of the most important things of the I have learned from having and working with animals is how to read people. They are experts at reading people. Trust me, they are invaluable to have by your side. Especially right now. I am currently training our youngest dog, Nellie, to be a MAGAt detector. So far she seems to be doing well!!

Nugget Of Brilliance

I'm not feeling very brilliant today, but chicken nuggets sure would taste good. Instead I took some split pea soup out of the freezer from 2023 that my dad had given me. We had that with some leftover fresh bread. Brilliant!!

Sometimes taking the "easy route" is actually the best way to go for everyone. We had a great homemade meal that didn't kick my butt in the process. We can't take care of others if we don't take care of ourselves!!
