Minnesota is under attack. Their crime? Their governor had the balls to stand up to our criminal in chief. Tim Waltz had the audacity to beat the orange clown at his own game on the campaign trail to the 2024 election. Not only did Waltz do a better job, but people laughed. Trump does not like it when you tell jokes that cause people to laugh at him. Mostly though, Tim Waltz is not afraid of Trump and he shows it every day. Plain and simple, that is why Minnesota is under attack. Anything else is made up to fit the narcissistic crybaby's agenda.
I spent my teenage years in a somewhat rural area of eastern Pennsylvania. Not only was I an angst ridden teenager, but I was loud, obnoxious, and anti-establishment. I was also a big stoner. My lawyer stepfather knew all of this. He sat me down one night when I first started driving and taught me a few good lessons on police officers. He knew there was no way to shut me up, but if he could teach me how to react properly, I could save myself a lot of trouble. I'm sure he knew it would save him and my parents a lot of trouble as well.
The first thing was to always remain calm and treat police officers like anybody else, with respect. The next two things were the most important, especially today. Around this time, there were a number of attacks on women on major highways. Men were buying bubble lights and uniforms, pulling women over and assaulting them. My stepfather informed me that one of the "rules of the road" was that when a police officer pulled you over, you were to pull over when you felt it was safe for both you and the police officer. If you didn't feel safe, put on your hazards and proceed slightly below the speed limit until you reach an area you feel safe, even if it wasn't until the nearest police station. This was before cell phones, mind you. Now, I would advise calling 911 as well. I was not allowed to ever pull over on a rural road; I was to proceed to a well lit open business establishment. Last, when I do pull over my doors should be locked. If I still feel uncomfortable, I was to only open the window enough to pass my ID, registration, and insurance through. I was to ask for the officer's ID and the officer was required to show it to me. My stepfather went on to explain that this in place not only for my safety, but for the safety of the officer. He said if I followed his instructions to a T and always remained calm and respectful, I would never have a problem. As a white woman, I think this would have been true 99% of the time. Unfortunately, I think we've all learned that it's never been the case for all US citizens. That is a whole different story that I think I can/should touch on at this point. It would open a Pandora's Box; plus, I think we need to unite as a country right now as one people.
From what we've seen in Minnesota, this is not the case with ICE agents. There is one main reason why. THEY ARE NOT REAL POLICE OFFICERS! For some reason, they do have to follow the same rules as police officers. They do not need the same amount of training or testing. They do not need background checks. They do not need psych evals. If they are involved in a "traumatic" experience at work, they are not required to go through therapy and get cleared to go back to work. They do not need warrants to kick down doors. Who pays for that anyway?
ICE agents are rage filled thugs. Toxic Masculinity, Red Pill, Manosphere, whatever you want to call it. These are sociopaths that are finally not only have a legal outlet for their rage, but they're even getting paid for it. I saw two videos of one incident in St. Paul last night. One from the sidewalk watching as 10-15 ICE agents approached the house guns drawn in tight formation. They approached the door and kicked it in. Don't you need a "no-knock warrant" for that? A woman screamed closed the door. Your could hear her yell through the door, "There's kids in here. Please put down the guns!" They just kicked the door open again. She kept pleading with them to put the guns down because of the kids. She told someone to take the kids to the back. It sounded like ICE commanded them to stop, still with guns drawn. It goes back and forth and then it ends.
Later, I came across the video taken by the woman inside the house. She was repeatedly asking for a warrant. It was a while before an agent shoved a form letter with a someone's name and address filled in. That is all that's needed for their warrants. You could see as the ICE agents entered the house, the man they were looking for was standing right in the center of the house, never resisting. You could hear scared children crying. The woman asked why they were taking him. They had literally just gotten home from a meeting with immigration. He was following all of the rules. She never got aggressive; she only asked legitimate questions of the men who illegally broke into her home. One ICE agent can be seen continually taunting her with a taser. What in the actual FUCK was that needed for? Real police officers would have gotten immediate disciplinary action for this kind of crap.
THESE ARE NOT REAL POLICE OFFICERS.
So, what is Minnesota supposed to do? Does Tim Waltz deploy the National Guard? This is what that sick fuck in the White House wants, a reason to declare martial law. This will start a civil war. We can not sit by idly and let this happen to our fellow citizens, and not just because eventually we will all be next, but because we are the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA goddamn it!! We are not ready for a civil war, though. We are not organized or armed enough.
We need to continue to stand together in non-violence. I know it's hard, but they are stronger than we are on THAT playing field. We are stronger on other playing fields, though. And that's where we need to take the fight. We are compassionate. We need to keep protecting our neighbors. Create communities in your neighborhoods. Share EVERYTHING! We tried boycotting and it didn't work. Why? Because we started too big. We need to start small. A company that supports Trump, supports ICE, that we can ALL say "Yes, we will stop using them." A company that the lower class doesn't rely on for basic necessities. It is too expensive right now to ask people to boycott a place when it's the only place they can afford their groceries. I'm open for ideas. (I'm no IT person. Discussion boards are coming. For now, it's email)
I started this talking about why Minnesota is in Chump's sights. Because they have a strong awesome governor. We know Trump doesn't like it when we are unafraid of him, when we point and laugh at him. Let's do that more and more. How can we make fun of ICE? I am reading Blueprint for Revolution by Sroja Popovic. He talks about how they got mini mp3 speakers and hid them in disgusting areas like dumpsters and piles of manure. They played songs that antagonized the dictator and his police were forced to dig through all the disgusting areas to find the speakers. I am not suggesting this, but how about we start blasting music when ICE is around as well? Benny Hill? Star Wars Imperial March? The Winkie Guards chanting OOH-EE-Yah—OOOO? Maybe get a few people dressed as keystone cops? I know it sounds silly, but if we make fun of them, we are not afraid. We are not impeding them, but I bet they still get just as pissed. These are emotionally stunted sociopaths looking for a reason to beat up on someone weaker than they are. Don't give them a reason; they really don't need one. If we keep showing everyone that very thing; we will get stronger. Just a thought.
If anyone from Minnesota is reading this. I am seeing the videos and I am trying to find a way to get them seen as much as I can. Email me yours if you haven't already. I will put them on this sight, on every facebook group I am in, on all my IG pages, wherever I can. The news is not covering what is going on, but many of us know. We will spread the word. If there are ways we can help, email me that as well. I will share the hell out of it. If you are not from Minnesota and you don't know what I am talking about. Get on Threads for a start and search Minnesota. The whole world is watching us right now and they KNOW what is going on. They are rooting for you Minnesota. Don't give up.
